Meet Mike

Mike Harper

All of us can feel overwhelmed by life at times.  We are often filled with regrets, resentments and worries about the future.  All of us can feel overwhelmed by life at times.  We are often filled with regrets, resentments and worries about the future.  Sometimes, this is compounded by past traumatic experiences, relationship issues, and grief.

I would like to help bring your life into balance, and heal issues surrounding trauma, relationships and grief.  I begin therapy by creating a safe environment of empathy and confidentiality.  Then using 30 years of experience in mental health develop a plan to assist you with getting back into your authentic self while improving your overall resiliency and wellbeing.

I use a variety of evidenced based treatments including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Parts Work (Internal Family Systems).  I bring a wide range of expertise in treating trauma, especially vicarious exposure to trauma and sexual assault.  Vicarious trauma is what many first responders are exposed to during the course of their work.  I also have a proven track record of helping the family and loved one’s who are surviving trauma.

I particularly enjoy helping people achieve resiliency.  I currently use the Benson-Henry Institute at Harvard Medical School’s “Stress Management and Resiliency Program.”  I am certified to provide this program and have seen tremendous results.

I enjoy helping people between the ages of 14 and 85.  I am highly skilled in treating Anxiety, Depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.  I am trained to provide EMDR.  And have had several trainings in Parts Work, in particular in applying Parts Work to EMDR.

If you decide you would like assistance in finding your wellbeing and authentic self-please reach out for a free 15 minute consultation to see if we are a good match.

In my free time I enjoy long walks in nature, and playing tennis. I really love to travel and have been to many different countries. I also have a love for practicing mindfulness and strive to continue my own self-improvement.

Testimonials

Our Happy Clients

I hired Dolly as a consultant.  She helped me discover root causes of some of the barriers preventing me from being as successful as I want to be at my current workplace as well as build focused, long and short-term goals and objectives for my career, in general.  Having someone to navigate these issues and explore potential solutions toward clarity and success has been a worthy investment!

I had never been to therapy before and did not really know what to expect.  Dolly helped me see that therapy is “a place”, a safe place for “my stuff”.  Her sessions are a place for exploring the roadblocks both past and present that keep me from feeling as good and healthy as I want to.  She also helped me see that I might be Vitamin D deficient and if she hadn’t encouraged me to see my doctor, I would probably still be feeling depressed and have little-to-no energy.

Dolly Sullivan is/was a calming influence and guidance for me at a point in my life where I was searching for answers and peace within myself. Thanks to her, I am back in control of my emotions and my life. I can not thank her enough and encourage anyone struggling within their own life to reach out to her.
