Heather DeMoss
Billing Specialist & Executive Assistant
Heather DeMoss, originally from Gauley Bridge, West Virginia, serves as the Billing Specialist and Executive Assistant at Intentional Wellness and Consulting. As one of the longest-tenured members of the practice, Heather plays a central role in supporting both the clinical team and the clients they serve.
While her primary focus is billing and insurance coordination, Heather is often the ongoing point of contact for clients after their initial intake process. She works behind the scenes to ensure a smooth transition into services and remains a consistent, reliable resource for questions related to scheduling, billing, and administrative needs.
In a small, client-centered practice, Heather wears many hats—stepping in to assist with client intake when needed, supporting the practice owner, and helping ensure that each client feels informed and supported throughout their experience. Known for her approachable nature and sense of humor, she strives to make what can sometimes feel like a confusing or overwhelming process much easier and more personal. She understands that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming and strives to be a friendly, familiar presence—someone clients feel comfortable turning to and know they have in their corner.
Heather graduated cum laude with a degree in Psychology from West Virginia University, where she was a member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, and Delta Gamma sorority.
After dedicating many years to raising her three children, Heather reentered the workforce in 2021, bringing with her a wealth of life experience and a strong foundation in organization, leadership, and client care. Throughout her career, she has held a variety of roles including office manager, receptionist, restaurant manager, bartender, nanny, and banker—experiences that have shaped her adaptable, people-centered approach.
Heather has also been actively involved in her community, serving as PTO President at her children’s elementary school for five years and as team manager for her son’s travel soccer team. She naturally gravitates toward roles where she can support others and help things run smoothly.
Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time with her family. Her oldest daughter works as a social worker with WVU Medicine, her middle daughter is a biology graduate (Class of 2026), and her son is the general manager of Apple Annie’s Cookie Bakery in Martinsburg, West Virginia. She is also an avid animal lover and proud pet parent to four rescue dogs and one rescue cat. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time near the water whenever possible.
